SPA Botanica, located on Singapore’s resort island of Sentosa, took top honours in a new Tourism Awards category designed to recognise the best spa in Singapore. The 6000 square metre tropical garden spa is only minutes away from the buzz of downtown Singapore. The outdoor spa pavilions have their own bath and private garden, allowing guests to enjoy spa treatments in the surrounds of nature, yet in complete privacy.
Besides providing a relaxing retreat from the city, this tropical sanctuary allows a return to the past – a peek into Singapore’s colonial heritage. Prior to Singapore’s fall to Japan during World War II, the buildings that now house Spa Botanica’s modern facilities used to hold elements of the British Army.
